Effective from 28 October 2007 Emirates will commence services to Ahmedabad, India.

Ahmedabad is in the north western state of Gujarat and will join Emirates existing routes of Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram making it Emirates ninth destination in India.
