Information Collection and Use
Thriftway Travel Ltd Trading as Capricorn Travel is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We collect information from you at several different points on our website including when you make a travel query or booking, subscribe to our newsletter, complete a survey or enter a competition.
We request information from you during our booking process. Here you need to provide contact information (like name and address) and financial information (like credit card number and expiry date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfil holiday bookings. We also use the information to enable us to contact you when required in connection with your bookings. As a protection against fraudulent bookings, we also record the IP Address from which each booking is made.
We only share aggregated demographic information with our partners and advertisers. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person. We also communicate information about traveling customers on a need-to-know basis to airlines, hotels, bus companies, ground handlers and other partners that fulfil a part of your holiday.
If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we ask for contact information – an email address at minimum, with the option to provide additional information. This information is not shared with any other company and is only used to advise subscribers of holiday offers, new product details or destination information.
Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time our site may request information from users via surveys or competitions. Participation in these surveys or competitions is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and address), and demographic information (such as age range). Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used to help us improve the usability of our systems.
Communications relating to Bookings or Orders
We communicate with customers in relation to their current holiday bookings or other orders. This communication may be by e-mail, conventional post, telephone, fax or other suitable medium. This communication is essential to the proper service of bookings and orders and must therefore take place regardless of the customer’s consent to other (non-booking-related) communication.
